Focal Points

Aims

Besides the broadness of the nano sciences recent research topics are subjected to high dynamic processes. Therefore, CINSaT developed a flexible scientific concept which takes the group's expertises, the already finished preliminary work and the interdisciplinary aspect into account. To define a clear profile in the diverse field of nanotechnology centers, CINSaT decided to focus on special topics with huge potential for the future.

In the years since CINSaT was founded, nanotechnology has developed rapidly. Therefore, the CINSaT is not able to cover the whole range of different developments. Although the CINSaT is still to be understood as a very open communication center between the specialist areas of the cooperating groups, we have to take this into account by focusing future discussions more strongly. This will enable a much more effective planning and implementation of cooperative projects in the future. In addition to the breadth of the nanosciences, current research areas are also subject to high dynamics and this fact will also be taken into account in the presented flexible scientific concept.

The foundations for a stronger thematic focus within the CINSaT are, on the one hand, the existing expertise of the participating working groups and the preparatory work carried out in recent years, as well as the identification of completely new thematic focal points with great future potential.
