Loss or defect

If you lose your CampusCard, block it immediately online at
https://campuscard.uni-kassel.de.

You can find instructions on the Application, activation and blocking page.

If your card is lost or defective, you can pick up a replacement card directly from the IT Helpdesk at the IT Service Center (1st floor, room 1740a, Mönchebergstraße 11, 34125 Kassel).
You can find the current opening hours on our homepage.

Please bring a photo ID (identity card/driver's license/passport/etc.) with you. Otherwise the replacement card cannot be issued.

Students will be charged a loss fee of 15 euros. For guests/university-external persons the fee is 20 euros. This fee is only charged if the card is lost. A defective card will be replaced free of charge. Please understand that the loss fee cannot be refunded if the old card is found after the replacement card has been issued.

Please pay the replacement card fee by card when the new CampusCard is issued. Our card reader accepts all common card types. If your card has been stolen and you present us with a police report (§§ 242 ff. StGB), the replacement card will be issued free of charge.

For students: A photo similar to a passport photo is mandatory for all new cards. Please upload a suitable photo to eCampus in advance ("My studies" -> "Student services" -> "CampusCard picture").

If you have notified the Registrar's Office or the Human Resources Department of a name change, you can apply for a new card free of charge on site one day later at the earliest.

And if you are not part of the university?

You are neither a student nor an Employee and would like to apply for a CampusCard or need a replacement card to use the University Library? Then please contact the library's user service directly:
