Collaboard is a digital whiteboard that enables visual collaboration in real time. It is suitable for interactive webinars, seminars, group projects, brainstorming sessions, mind maps and presentations. Users can create, edit and share content together, regardless of their location.

Who is it suitable for?

The service is aimed at all members of the University of Kassel, especially teaching staff and employees who wish to work collaboratively. Students can participate in projects by invitation.

Responsibility

The IT Service Center (ITS) of the University of Kassel is responsible for the provision, maintenance and support of Collaboard.

Description

Collaboard is a browser-based online tool that enables the creation and use of shared whiteboards in real time. Users can upload documents, insert images, link YouTube videos and create interactive content. The platform supports a dynamic way of working in which all participants can actively work on the whiteboard and share content.

Alternatives

Other digital whiteboard tools such as Miro or Microsoft Whiteboard can be considered as alternatives to Collaboard. However, Collaboard offers a data protection-compliant solution that has been specially tested and approved for use at the University of Kassel.

Collaboard is operated in compliance with data protection regulations and fulfills the requirements of the University of Kassel. It is used via the UniAccount and no personal data is passed on without consent.

The use of Collaboard is subject to the IT usage guidelines of the University of Kassel. Licenses are issued exclusively to teaching staff and employees and can be applied for via ITS.
