Students, other university members and external persons are admitted to the University Library's events.
If events are only offered for certain groups of people, this will be indicated in the respective announcement text.
The University Library events are free of charge for all participants.
Registration is generally required for events at the University Library. Anything else only applies if this is explicitly stated for the respective event.
The registration of
- Students register via eCampus. Registrations are considered in the order in which they are received. No confirmation of registration will be sent by e-mail. If the course is full, you can register on a waiting list.
- Other university members or persons from outside the university can register using a registration form. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. A confirmation of registration with the event details will be sent to the registered persons by e-mail. If the event is full, those interested will be entered on a waiting list and will receive an e-mail informing them of their position on the waiting list. If the waiting list is full, the University Library reserves the right to remove the event from the registration form before the registration deadline.
If you are unable to attend, please always cancel your registration so that the place can be made available to other interested parties. Students can deregister via the university calendar, other members of the university and external persons via e-mail to informationskompetenz[at]bibliothek.uni-kassel[dot]de.
In the event of deregistration, the registered persons from the waiting list will move up in the order of registration. Students will not be notified. Other members of the university and external persons will be notified by e-mail if they are admitted to the course by moving up. If you move up on the waiting list, you will not be notified.
If you register via the Campus Events platform, you can apply to cancel your registration via this platform.
The collection and storage of personal data of
- students is carried out via eCampus. The data will only be forwarded to the respective Faculties if the Faculties agree to the electronic transmission of certificates of attendance and only to the extent that the data is required for proof of attendance.
- The data will only be passed on to other members of the university and persons outside the university if this is necessary for registration. The data is used exclusively for administrative and statistical purposes within the University Library. The data will not be passed on or published.
In the case of online events, the use of the specified platforms and the provision of any necessary data is accepted upon registration. In addition, the technical requirements are guaranteed by the participants themselves.
The University Library reserves the right to cancel the event in case of sudden unforeseen circumstances or if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Participants will be informed immediately if this is the case.
In its function as a central institution of the University, the University Library cannot recognize credits. The Faculties are responsible for the recognition of credits in accordance with the ECTS guidelines within the framework of the respective study and examination regulations.
We are happy to issue a certificate of attendance for our courses on request.
