Research

For the scientists in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, research for a sustainable society means working on different concepts: thus, they work on the energy supply of the future, as well as on efficient and autonomous vehicles. They elaborate stable technical, electronic, and ultimately social systems. Furthermore, they study secure communication technology, or develop software for a better economic process. In our interdisciplinary circular, we combine basic research with application-oriented issues. Our subject areas are involved in various scientific research institutes; for instance, the Scientific Center for Information Technology Design ITeG, the Center for Interdisciplinary Nanostructure Science and Technology (CINSaT), the Center for Environmental Systems Research (CESR). Furthermore, we participate with the Institutes for Nanostructure Technology and Analytics (INA), Institute for Analysis and Control of Technical systems (ISAC), Institute for Drive and Vehicle Technology (IAF). In addition, we are a part of the Competence Center for Decentralized Electrical Power Supply Technology (KDEE) and the Research Association Vehicle Systems (FAST).
