Terms of use UNIfit

The user is entitled to use the offers of the UNIfit or university sports that correspond to the selected usage concept.

1. start of the UNIfit-membership :

Membership begins on the specified contract start date. This date (without the year) corresponds to the effective date of the contract.

2. identification requirement:

To use the offer in the UNIfit you must always bring your personal membership card with you.

3 UNIfit packages:(All packages incl. basic membership of AHS)

UNIfit-Total: Use of the UNIfiton weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., at weekends during the respective opening hours.

UNIfit-Basic compact: Use of the UNIfiton weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at weekends during the respective opening hours.

UNIfit-Good Morning: Use of the UNIfiton weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, at weekends during the respective opening hours.

The duration stated in each case corresponds to the minimum duration.

START package for beginners € 20.00 once for all contracts, for advanced users € 10.00 once for all contracts.

4. termination: Membership can be terminated by either party with at least two weeks' notice to the end of the specified minimum term. Notice of termination must be given in writing. If notice is not given in due time, the contract is extended indefinitely. The notice period for both parties is then two weeks to the contract date. The right of extraordinary termination remains unaffected by this.

Please be sure to include a current e-mail address on the notice of termination. We will confirm each termination by e-mail within 10 days.

5. direct debit authorization: University Sports is so inexpensive because we strive to keep administrative costs as low as possible. Therefore, membership under these conditions is only possible if you give us a direct debit authorization. The direct debit can only be made from domestic accounts. Holders of foreign accounts should contact the University Sports Office directly.

6 Cash payment: Cash payment is only possible for a processing fee of € 5.00.

7. change of personal data: Please inform us immediately in writing or by e-mail if you move, change your name or change your bank details.

8. pausing of contracts: Contracts can be suspended for a certain period of time (only for whole months) for important reasons. Important reasons are illness, injuries, internships/professional activities outside Kassel. Please submit an informal application with the relevant certificates to us in good time. It is not possible to take a contractual break at a later date .

9. information on the protection of personal data: The protection of the personal data of UNIfit users and visitors to our website is important to us. Your data is processed in accordance with data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG). We would therefore like to inform you about data protection here.

Visiting our homepage: When accessing the content of web servers of the University of Kassel, the following data is generally stored in the server log files: IP address, date and time, possibly browser type ("user agent") and source page ("referer"), URL and length of the page accessed, return value ("status code"), for web services with login: user ID.

This data is used exclusively for the purpose of checking functionality, troubleshooting, security and statistics (see below). The legal basis is Art. 6, para. 1f GDPR. All log files are deleted or anonymized immediately.

The University of Kassel uses "Matomo" (formerly Piwik), a software for evaluating web server access, for the purpose of its own internal statistics on website visits. Handling of your personal data: If you have provided us with personal data, we will only use it to answer your questions, to process contracts concluded with you and for technical administration.

Stored personal data will be deleted if you withdraw your consent to its storage, if knowledge of it is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored (e.g. if you leave UNIfit or terminate the contract) or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.

Right to information: Upon written request, we will be happy to inform you about the personal data stored about you. Security note: We make every effort to store your personal data in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties by taking all technical and organizational measures. We cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by e-mail, so we recommend that you send confidential information by post.

10. medical history form: The medical history form can be completed by the trainers as part of a consultation. The trainee is aware that all information provided on the medical history form is voluntary. If the trainee does not wish to provide any information on the medical history, he/she will not suffer any disadvantage. The personal data provided will be used exclusively to answer questions from the trainee, to process the concluded contract and for technical administration. For these purposes, the trainee expressly consents to the processing of his/her personal data from the medical history form. Furthermore, the trainee is aware that the consent given can be revoked at any time at unifit@uni-kassel.de. The trainee also agrees that the data may be entered into the computer system.

11. severability clause: Should any provision of this contract be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The parties undertake to replace the invalid provision with a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the invalid provision.
