Change of personal data

Please inform us immediately in writing or by e-mail if you move, change your name or change your bank details.

Exception

To take part in excursions and compact courses offered by General University Sports, neither the basic membership in General University Sports, the Fit & Healthy Card, the UNIfit membership nor the water sports card are required. These can therefore be booked directly!

Cash payment

Cash payment is only possible for a processing fee of € 10.00.

Authorization card

All participants who have registered online can print out an authorization card.

Direct debit authorization

University Sports is so inexpensive because we strive to keep administrative costs as low as possible. This is why membership is only possible at such a low price if you give us a direct debit authorization.

The direct debit can only be made from domestic accounts. Holders of foreign accounts should contact the General University Sports office directly.

Cancellation

Cancellation is possible at the end of each month after the minimum term specified in the table below. The notice of termination must be received in writing - also by e-mail at kuendigung-hochschulsport[at]uni-kassel[dot]de - two weeks before the end of the month at the University Sports Office. In the case of written notice of termination (in paper form), please be sure to include a current e-mail address on the notice of termination. We will confirm every cancellation by e-mail within 10 days! If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us immediately. Please note that termination is not automatic upon de-registration!

Course withdrawal

Cancellation or withdrawal from a course is generally possible. A refund of the course fee is only possible under certain conditions:

1. Withdrawal from a course must be made in writing and with sufficient justification within 14 days of registration.
2. This does not affect basic membership of General University Sports, the Fit & Healthy card, membership of UNIfit or the water sports card.
3. The bank statement showing the direct debit is required for the refund. This must be presented to the AHS office within two weeks of the cancellation.

Pausing contracts or memberships

Contracts can be suspended for a certain period of time (on the first of each month and only for whole months) for important reasons. Important reasons are illness, injuries, internships/professional activities outside Kassel. Please submit an informal application with the relevant certificates to us in good time. It is not possible to suspend contracts retrospectively .

Insurance information

All students and employees of the University of Kassel enjoy the insurance cover of the Unfallkasse Hessen during the events of General University Sports. This also includes online courses that are offered live (all other video clips are excluded from this). This insurance cover does not apply to civil servants. Members of the association "Freunde des Kasseler Hochschulsports e. V." are covered by the sports insurance of the Landessportbund Hessen. Participating guests are subject to self-insurance. All university sports participants are also recommended to take out adequate liability insurance.
