Praxis³ helps students systematically reflect on their professional development during their school-based practical training.

The focus is on personal development goals as well as self-assessments and peer evaluations, which serve as the basis for joint counseling and reflection sessions.

The Praxis³ process is initiated by the students themselves.

Using the Praxis³ reflection tool, they complete their self-assessment and receive personalized links for the external assessments by their school and university mentors.

Personal development goals help students consciously focus on their own development and set priorities for their future work.

During the practicum, these goals can be revisited, refined, continued, or adjusted. Together with self-assessments and peer evaluations, they form an important foundation for reflection.

The specific timing depends on the respective practicum phase and the structure of the supervision.

Therefore, please refer to the information provided for your practicum phase and the arrangements made in the accompanying seminar. It is crucial that the results be available in time for the scheduled consultation and reflection session.

Open the Praxis³ reflection tool and start the process designated for your practicum phase.

You will then receive your personal links for the self-assessment, the peer assessments, and the evaluation.

The links are not automatically sent to your advisors.

You will receive the personal links via Praxis³ and will forward the designated links to your school and university advisors yourself.

First, check your university email inbox and, if necessary, your spam folder.

It may take some time for the automated email to be sent. According to the Praxis³ reflection tool, delivery can take up to 24 hours.

If the email is forwarded to WEB.DE, you may encounter problems with the links it contains. In this case, open the email directly through the university email portal.

If you still haven’t received an email, please contact the Praxis³ team.

You can use the Praxis³ reflection tool to request another email with updated links.

Please note that if you request the links again, the previous links will become invalid!

If you request a new email with Praxis³ links, the previous links will no longer be valid.

Assessments that have already been submitted will remain valid. Therefore, if a companion has not yet submitted their external assessment, you must forward them the new corresponding link.

First, check to see if a new email containing Praxis³ links has been sent in the meantime. Always use the links from the most recent email.

If the problem persists, contact the Praxis³ team. It’s helpful to include a brief description of the problem, the exact wording of any error message, and, if applicable, a screenshot.

You will receive access to your evaluation along with your personal Praxis³ links.

Using the assessment link, you can view your self-assessments and peer assessments together.

They decide when and in what form to share the results with their school and university advisors for the counseling and reflection session.

No. Differences in perspective are not a problem.

In fact, differences between self-perception and how others perceive us can be important opportunities for follow-up questions, feedback, and shared reflection.

The goal is not to align these assessments, but to use different perspectives to inform further development.

Use the results, together with your personal development goals, as the basis for the counseling and reflection session.

In doing so, you can examine where different perspectives align, where they diverge, and what next steps for development arise from this.

You do not need Mahara access to complete the self- and peer-assessments using the Praxis³ reflection tool.

Mahara is used separately for ePortfolio work and, as a rule, for creating and documenting the internship report.

At the University of Kassel, Mahara is generally used to create and document the internship report as an ePortfolio.

Please check with your seminar instructor to find out the specific procedure for your seminar.

Insights gained from practical experience³ and continued work on personal development goals can be incorporated into the reflection and documentation as part of the internship report.

How this is implemented in practice depends on your practicum phase and the specific structure of the accompanying seminar.

The scope and formal requirements vary depending on the clinical rotation and the examination regulations.

You will receive the personal link to the external assessment from the student you are advising. You do not need to start a Praxis³ process yourself or use a Mahara account for this.

Use the students’ personal development goals, as well as the results of their self-assessments and peer evaluations, as a basis for discussion.

The similarities and differences between the various perspectives can be particularly interesting.
