Die Reihe wird vom Fachgebiet Entwicklungspolitik und Postkoloniale Studien der Universität Kassel herausgegeben, bis Anfang 2022 mit Unterstützung durch den Lehrstuhl Global Development an der Hochschule Friedensau und den Lehrstuhl für Global Climate Policy an der Universität Hamburg. Seit 2023 besteht eine Kooperation mit dem exceed-Zentrum "Global Partnership Network". Die Reihe bietet ein Forum für innovative Forschung und aktuelle Debatten aus dem Gebiet der Entwicklungspolitik, den Postkolonialen Studien sowie zu den Schnittstellen zwischen beiden Bereichen. Begrüßt werden Beiträge von Nachwuchs- und Senior-Forschenden, sowie von aktivistischen Wissenschaftler*innen aus Deutschland und der ganzen Welt. Die Reihe erscheint in englischer Sprache.
