Content and goals

The durability and thus the service life of asphalt pavements depend to a large extent on the quality of the binder bitumen used. By compiling the research results published internationally in recent years on the influence of bitumen quality on the service properties of asphalt, suitable parameters for the performance specification of bitumen are to be determined.
