Please note that the nightly backup system only backs up data up to the previous day. New files or changes made on the same day are therefore not included.
If you wish to restore a file, please contact the IT service desk via the hotline on 0561 804-5678 (opening hours can be found under Contact and directions) or use the contact form.
If you receive the error message "Connection attempt failed due to server communication errors" when establishing a VPN connection with the server path "vpn.uni-kassel.de", please check the following:
- Is the connection to the server path "univpn.uni-kassel.de" working?
- Is an antivirus program blocking the connection?
- To test this, please deactivate your antivirus program temporarily and test the connection
- If the VPN connection then works, the antivirus program is the cause
- Add the VPN software to the exception list in the antivirus program settings
- You can then switch the antivirus program back on and test whether the connection works
- It may help to deactivate IPv6 in the network settings. You can find instructions under Disable Internet Protocol IPv6 (Windows).
If the problem persists, please contact the IT service desk via the hotline on 0561 804-5678 (opening hours can be found under Contact and directions) or use the contact form.
If your network drives are displayed with a red X in Explorer and you cannot access them, this may be due to a recent password change for your UniAccount in Identity Management or Windows updates, for example.
