Newspapers as E-Papers

The University Library has a large selection of German and international daily and weekly newspapers. Some are available as print editions, but in addition numerous titles can be used in electronic form.

Through the Pressreader, for example, you can view more than 7000 journals and newspapers from a total of 120 countries and in 60 different languages.

We also subscribe to the FA Library Portal and SZ LibraryNet. Both portals can only be accessed within the university netwerk, it is not possible to use them from home.

Further access to daily newspapers and newspaper archives can be found in the Database Information System (DBIS). We recommend the databases Nexis Uni well as WISO.

The German Newspaper Portal of the German Digital Library contains historical newspapers from the years 1671 to 1950, which are freely available as digital copies.

In addition, many newspapers are available in the Onleihe.

Further access options can be found on the respective websites of the newspaper providers.
