From February 20 to March 9, 2026, the examination and grade administration of all degree programs will be converted to a new eCampus software version. During this period, eCampus and HIS will be unavailable and processing by students and staff will not be possible.

The University Information System, or HIS for short, is the technical platform for the organization of all processes related to studying and teaching. On this page you will find information on the individual points:
Functionality
The University Information System (HIS) consists of various modules:
The APP module atsupports the University of Kassel's teaching and learning staff in recording and changing applicant data, such as name, address or application data for the respective degree program. Special applications, for example hardship or disadvantage compensation, as well as the automated waiting period semester calculation are processed here and admission notifications are sent out.
Under Application procedure you will find the options for applying for a place at the University of Kassel.
The STU module supports all administrative processes for study and teaching staff from enrolment, re-registration, change of subject, leave of absence and certificate creation, tuition fee control through to exmatriculation.
If a change of address is necessary, this is processed by the Student Secretariat.
The HIS-LSF module supports the course registration process, the planning of courses, the viewing of information on courses and teaching staff and the coordination of course registration.
The summer semester is published on the first working day in March, the winter semester on the first working day in September.

The following functions will help you to find the desired course, the person you are looking for or the right course room.
List of the course catalog with the individual courses, sorted according to the respective departments
Search for courses by specifying various search criteria (lecturer, title, date, etc.)
Search for rooms with their occupancy by courses
Under Room occupancy, the location administrators provide the current occupancy of the event rooms for the Holländischer Platz location.
Please note that for access outside the University of Kassel network, the entire list of persons at the University of Kassel is not displayed for data protection reasons.
Courses from previous semesters
The HIS-POS module is the examination administration module of the HIS modules. It is linked to the HIS-SOS and HIS-LSF modules. The module provides examination regulations (as an electronic image), examination registrations and deregistrations, automatic calculation of intermediate and overall grades for individual, intermediate or overall examinations.
