License management and technical provision is carried out by the IT Service Center on the basis of the Microsoft campus contract. The responsibility for the use of the software lies with the respective users.
2. brief description
Microsoft 365 includes various Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). They are used via a license provided by the university, which is renewed regularly. The use of Microsoft 365 is based on the Microsoft contract terms for educational institutions. Unfortunately, cloud-based services such as OneDrive and Teams cannot be used via the campus license for data protection reasons. The use of add-ins in Microsoft 365 products is also not possible for data protection reasons.
The license is only valid for study, research, teaching and administration within the university. Private use of Windows/Office 365 is not permitted. Use is only possible for persons with a valid UniAccount and via the university e-mail address. The license ends automatically after leaving the university.
