In order to manage the transfer and permanent archiving of digital documents, the university archives in Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Giessen and Marburg and the archive center of the J. C. Senckenberg University Library in Frankfurt have agreed to implement a joint solution for securing digital data. The archiving software DIMAG, which was co-developed by the Hessian State Archives in Wiesbaden, will be used. Since 2012, the development partners Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Bavaria have also made it available to public non-state archives by granting licenses. The UniArchives has applied for inclusion in the Digital Archive of the Universities in Hesse (DAHH).
