Kick-Off: Teaching & Learning Transformation (Open to Public)

Dear lecturers, students, university staff and anyone else interested,

everybody is talking about TRANSFORMATION – but what do we understand by transformation? 
What could be done in the university, concretely, in the field of Agriculture, Ecology and Societies, 
by students and lecturers? And what are examples of sucessful transformative processes?

You are invited to join the kick-off event on the 5th of June in Kassel to learn and discuss together about visions for transformation and transformation in practice: 
There will be a keynote by CECOSESOLA a cooperative network from Venezuela that is dedicated to a transformative educational process based on equity, mutual care and solidarity.
In 2022 they were awarded the Right Livelihood Award for establishing a diverse, equitable and community-centered economy. 
Another keynote will be given by Agriculture, Ecology and Societies Master's students who will share with us their visions and ideas for transformation in their studies and the university.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Center for Teacher Education (University of Kassel).

Afterwards there will be soup for everyone attending and space and time to further discuss and exchange ideas on transforming our teaching and learning.

Liebe Lehrende, Studierende, Hochschulmitarbeiter*innen und alle Interessierten,

alle reden von TRANSFORMATION - aber was verstehen wir unter Transformation?
Was könnte an der Universität konkret im Bereich Landwirtschaft, Ökologie und Gesellschaft
von Studierenden und Lehrenden getan werden? Und was sind Beispiele für gelungene transformative Prozesse?

Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, an der Auftaktveranstaltung am 5. Juni in Kassel teilzunehmen, um gemeinsam über Visionen für Transformation und Transformation in der Praxis zu lernen und zu diskutieren:
Es wird eine Keynote von CECOSESOLA geben, einem kooperativen Netzwerk aus Venezuela, das sich für einen transformativen Bildungsprozess einsetzt, der auf Gerechtigkeit, gegenseitiger Fürsorge und Solidarität basiert.
Im Jahr 2022 wurde ihnen der Right Livelihood Award für den Aufbau einer vielfältigen, gerechten und gemeinschaftszentrierten Wirtschaft verliehen.
Ein weiterer Hauptvortrag wird von Masterstudierenden des Studiengangs 'Agriculture, Ecology and Societies' gehalten, die uns ihre Visionen und Ideen für die Transformation ihres Studiums und der Universität vorstellen werden.

Die Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum für Lehrer:innenbildung der Universität Kassel statt.

Anschließend gibt es eine Suppe (Suppenplantage Kassel) für alle Teilnehmenden, sowie Raum und Zeit für weitere Diskussionen und den Austausch von Ideen zur Umgestaltung unseres Lehrens und Lernens.
