Du hast Schwierigkeiten, dich auf dem Campus oder in dem Studien- und Prüfungs-Wirrwarr zurecht zu finden? Bei der Zusammenstellung deines Stundenplans, der Belegung von Wahlpflichtmodulen oder bei Fragen zu deinem Studienverlauf unterstützen wir dich gerne. Wir geben dabei unsere Erfahrungen und Tipps an dich weiter, von uns bekommst du jedoch keine rechtsverbindlichen Auskünfte. Dafür sind die offiziellen Einrichtungen der Uni Kassel, wie zum Beispiel das Studien- und Prüfungssekretariat unseres Fachbereichs, zuständig.
Do you have difficulties finding your way around campus or through the confusion of studies and exams? We are happy to support you in creating your schedule, taking elective subjects, or answering questions about your course of study. We will pass on our experience and tips to you, but we will not give you any legally binding information. This is the responsibility of the official institutions of the University of Kassel, such as the study and examination office of our department.

1.Wo erhalte ich Informationen zum Studienstart?
Hier bekommst du Infos zum Studienbeginn. Neben den offiziellen Erstitagen der Uni, bieten wir auch immer an ein bis zwei Tagen verschiedene Programmpunkte für Erstis an. Für mehr Infos folge uns auf Instagram oder trete unserem Telegram Channel bei.
2.Gibt es die Möglichkeit mich mit einem erfahren Studierenden auszutauschen?
Ja. Bei speziellen Fragen zu deinem Studiengang wende dich gerne an uns. Ende September/ Anfang Oktober gibt es jedes Jahr zudem das Angebot sich mit Studienlots:innen zu treffen und sich über das Studium allgemein zu unterhalten.
1. Where can I get information about the start of my studies?
Here you can get information about the start of your studies. In addition to the official first days of the university, we also always offer different program points for first-year students on one or two days. For more information, follow us on Instagram or join our Telegram channel.
2. Is there a possibility to talk to an experienced student?
Yes. If you have specific questions about your program, please feel free to contact us. At the end of September/beginning of October every year there is also the opportunity to meet with student guides and talk about studying in general.
3.Ich habe Fragen zur Zulassung, Einschreibung oder Beurlaubung. An wen kann ich mich wenden?
Für diesen Themenbereich ist das Studierendensekretariat der Uni Kassel der richtige Ansprechpartner. Zum Beispiel ist die amtlich beglaubigte Kopie des Bachelorzeugnisses zur Bewerbung auf einen der Masterstudiengänge am Fb06 dort einzureichen.
3. I have questions about admission, enrollment or leave of absence. Who can I contact?
The office of student affairs of the University of Kassel is the contact for this topic. For example, the officially certified copy of the Bachelor's certificate for application to one of the Master's programs at Fb06 must be submitted there.
4.Wo kann ich meine Lizenzen für Programme verwalten?
Im Identitätsmanagement des ITS (IT Servicezentrum) kannst du Lizenzen beantragen und freischalten. Um die Adobe Programme im CLAB nutzen zu können, musst du den Zugriff auf Adobe CC im Identitätsmanagement aktivieren.
5. Wo kann ich mich in meine E-Mail Adresse der Uni Kassel einloggen?
Eingeloggt werden kann sich unter Outlook Uni Kassel.
4. Where can I manage my licenses for programs?
You can apply for and activate licenses in identity Management (website not available in english) at ITS (IT service center). In order to use Adobe programs in CLAB, you must activate access to Adobe CC in Identity Management.
5. Where can I log in to my e-mail address at the University of Kassel?
You can log in under Outlook Uni Kassel.
6.Du bist auf der Suche nach einer Wohnung, einem Job, einer Veranstaltung oder Ähnlichem oder bietest dies an?
Auf dem Schwarzen Brett der Uni Kassel kannst du Interessantes finden oder als Student kostenlos selbst eine Anzeige inserieren.
7.Welche öffentlichen Veranstaltungen gibt es an der Uni Kassel?
Im Veranstaltungskalender sind alle öffentlichen Veranstaltungen eingetragen.

On the notice board (only available in german) of the University of Kassel you can find interesting things or as a student you can advertise for free.
7. What public events are there at the University of Kassel?
All public events are listed in the calendar of events.
8. Auf welcher Seite kann ich mich für Module und Prüfungen anmelden?
Im ecampus kannst du dich für Module anmelden. Zusätzlich ist auch eine Einschreibung in den zugehörigen Moodlekurs notwendig. Bis zum Freitag vor der Rundgangswoche musst du dich für alle Module, in die du eingeschrieben bist im ecampus zur Prüfung anmelden. Für Klausuren kannst du dich bis zum Vortag der Prüfung im Studien- und Prüfungssekretariat (Sps) schriftlich abmelden. Die Fristen kannst du dem Terminplan in der Infothek entnehmen.
9. Wo finde ich die Modul- und Prüfungsordnung sowie die Studienverlaufspläne?

8. on which page can I register for modules and exams?
In ecampus you can register for modules. In addition, you must also enroll in the corresponding Moodle course. You must register for all modules in which you are enrolled in ecampus by the Friday before the tour week. For exams, you can cancel your registration in writing at the Office of Studies and Examinations (Sps) until the day before the exam. The deadlines can be found in the schedule in the Infothek.

In der Infothek. Hier sind unter Semesterinformationen auch der Terminplan, der Stundenplan sowie Informationen zu Abschlussarbeiten und Prüfungsterminen zu finden.
10. Where do i find news, dates, informations regading the semester and job offers of FB06?
In the Infoboard (only in german). Here, under semester information, you can also find the schedule, the timetable, and information about final papers and exam dates.
11. Ich benötige Anregungen für meine Studienarbeit / Bachelorarbeit / Masterarbeit. Wo erhalte ich diese am besten?
Im doku:lab kannst du studentische Arbeiten und Publikationen vom Fachbereich einsehen und ausleihen.
12. Wo kann ich meine Kenntnisse zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten aufbessern? An wen kann ich mich wenden, wenn ich meine Texte von jemandem Korrektur gelesen bekommen möchte?
Wende dich dazu an die studentische Schreibberatung.
13. Mir fällt es schwer mich allein auf die Prüfungen vorzubereiten. Gibt es Angebote in der Gruppe zu lernen?
Ja, es gibt das Angebot einer offenen Lerngruppe an der verschiedene Studis der Uni Kassel teilnehmen.
11. I need suggestions for my student research project / bachelor thesis / master thesis. Where is the best place to get them?
In the doku:lab you can view and borrow student work and publications from the department.
12. Where can I improve my knowledge of scientific work? Who can I contact if I want to have my texts proofread by someone?
Please contact the student writing advising.
13. I find it difficult to prepare for exams on my own. Are there offers to study in a group?
Yes, there is an open learning group in which various students of the University of Kassel participate.
14. Ich besitze selbst kein Notebook oder es ist kaputt gegangen und benötige schnell einen Ersatz. Wo kann ich mir eins ausleihen?
Im clab::: kannst du Notebooks für einen geringen Preis ein ganzes Semester über ausleihen. Das clab verleiht übrigens nicht nur Notebooks, sondern auch weitere technische Geräte wie z.B. Beamer und Kameras.
15. Ich benötige Modellbaumaterialien. Woher bekomme ich die?
Schau bei WIKULLiL oder bei uns im fs Büro vorbei. Von der Studierendengruppe Less:on gibt es eine ASL-Materialbörse auf Telegram.
14. I don't own a notebook myself or it is broken and need a replacement quickly. Where can I borrow one?
At clab::: (website in german) you can borrow notebooks for a small fee for the whole semester. By the way, the clab does not only lend notebooks, but also other technical equipment such as beamers and cameras.
15. i need model building materials. Where can I get them?
Check out WIKULLiL or our fs office. There is an ASL materials exchange on Telegram from the student group Less:on.
16. An wen kann ich mich bei Fragen zur Studienfinanzierung wenden?
Ans Studierendenwerk Kassel. Dort erhälst du auch Informationen zum BAföG. BAföG Bescheinigungen erhälst du vom Studien- und Prüfungssekretariat (SPS) unseres Fachbereichs.
17. Ich benötige Rechtsberatung in Prüfungsangelegenheiten oder auch im Mietrecht oder zu einem weiteren Thema. An wen kann ich mich wenden?
Das Studierendenwerk bietet Gesprächstermine mit einem Rechtsanwalt an.
16. Who can I contact if I have questions about student financing?
The Kassel Student Union. There you will also receive information about BAföG. BAföG certificates can be obtained from the Study and Examination Office (SPS) of our department.
17. I need legal advice on examination matters or on tenancy law or another topic. Who can I contact?
The Studierendenwerk offers appointments with a lawyer.
18. Ich bin mit den Anforderungen des Studiums mental überfordert oder brauche einfach jemanden mit dem ich über die Schwierigkeiten, die ein Studium mit sich bringt reden kann?
Wende dich gerne an die psychologische Beratung oder Sozialberatung des Studierendenwerks.
18. I am mentally overwhelmed by the demands of my studies or simply need someone with whom I can talk about the difficulties that come with studying?
Feel free to contact the psychological counseling or social counseling services of the Studierendenwerk.
19. Wo kann ich mich melden, wenn ich mir Prüfungsleistungen von anderen Universitäten (In- und Ausland) anrechnen lassen möchte?
Du kannst dafür das Studien- und Prüfungssekretariat (SPS) kontaktieren und erhältst ein Formular, in das du eintragen kannst welche Module du angerechnet bekommen möchtest.
19. Where can i go, if i want to recieve creditation of examination i did on other universities (domestic or abroad)
You can contact the studies and examination office. They will provide you a form, in which you can enter which modules you would like to receive credit for.
20. Ich benötige Informationen und Unterstützung bei der Bewerbung für Praktika / Berufspraktische Studien. Woher bekomme ich diese?
Das BPS Büro ist hierfür die richtige Adresse. Dort gibt es auch eine Liste mit potenziellen Praktikumsplätzen im In- und Ausland, sowie Erfahrungsberichte von Studierenden im BPS.
21. Wo erhalte ich Informationen zum Auslandssemester?
Das Büro für Internationales informiert dich über Partneruniversitäten, Stipendien und wie du das Auslandssemester am Besten in deinen Studienverlauf integriert.
20. I need information or help to apply for an internship / BPS.
The BPS office (website only in german) is to contact. They can provide a list with internship opportunities domestic or abroad, as well as experience reports by students.
21. How to recieve Information about a semester abroad?
The international office will inform you about partnered universitys, scholarships and how you can best integrate a semester abroad in your course of studies.
22. Where can I get help?
The student advisory service of the student council speaks English and will try to help you with any concerns you may have or refer you to the relevant person in charge. Please visit us during opening hours or send us an email. You can also always contact the International Office of the Department 06.
