Please note: All German courses are subject to a course fee. Only the course offer German after DSH is free of charge for students enrolled at the University of Kassel and staff members.

Learn­ing Ger­man dur­ing the lec­ture period

Who are the courses for?
They are designed for students, exchange students, PhD students, staff and visiting scholars at the University of Kassel. Any remaining places can be allocated to interested external students and guests.


What courses are on offer?

  • Courses at levels A1.1 to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), 8 lessons, twice a week
  • UNIcert® courses at levels B2 and C1 of the CEFR, 8 lessons, twice a week
  • Courses "German Academic Studies after DSH/TestDaF" (level C1+/C2-) with a focus on academic skills, 2 or 4 lessons per week, as well as workshops
  • Courses for subject-specific communication in individual subject areas (ASL, Mechanical Engineering, DaF/DaZ, Art/Design)
  • Workshops on training in German pronunciation
