Discussions on a Possible Amendment to the Constitution

The Senate of the University of Kassel has tasked the university administration with organizing discussion events on a possible amendment to the preamble of the University Charter—also known as the “civil clause.” These events will take place in October under the title “We Need to Talk: The University of Kassel Charter.” The events are open to the university community, meaning they are open to all members of the university but not to external participants. Registration is available via campus events.

The discussions will take place on October 13 ( tentatively at the Zentralmensa) and October 14, 2026 (tentatively at HS 1 Diagonale), from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on each day.
