Your help is needed: employee mobility survey - vouchers to be won

Dear colleagues, The approximately 21,000 students and around 3,300 employees of the University of Kassel generate considerable amounts of traffic in the city every day. The university is aware of its responsibility and role model function in this regard.

We also want to become more efficient, environmentally and socially compatible and therefore more sustainable when it comes to transportation. Specific measures have already been implemented in recent years. We want to continue working on this together with you and need your support to do so.

An up-to-date and reliable data basis is absolutely essential for our project. That is why the Department of Transport Planning and Transport Systems at the University of Kassel, under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Carsten Sommer, is conducting a survey on mobility behavior. The survey and measures are funded by the HMWK.

We need you to draw a comprehensive profile of the mobility behavior of university employees! Every answer counts, because the higher your participation, the more meaningful the results and the better your wishes and requirements can be taken into account. As a thank you for your participation, attractive prizes such as vouchers for the university store, the canteen and the Kurhessen Therme will be raffled off.

To carry out the survey, you will be assigned a reference date between 15.09. and 26.09.2025, to which the majority of your data will relate. Whether on foot, by bike, car or public transport, please enter all your journeys on this day. This includes not only your journeys to the university, but also the journeys you make in your free time or outside Kassel.

You will receive another e-mail within the next two weeks with your deadline, the link to the questionnaire and further information on the survey process.

I kindly ask you to take part in the survey so that we can shape sustainable mobility together at the University of Kassel. Thank you very much for your support!

Yours sincerely

Dr. Oliver Fromm

Chancellor of the University of Kassel
