Construction work on the city of Kassel's cycle highway between Kassel University and Vellmar is progressing. There will be another closure in the Mombachstraße/Fiedlerstraße junction area on May 19 and 20, 2026.
The asphalting work in the Fiedlerstraße/Mombachstraße area was originally scheduled to take place on May 11 and 12, but has been postponed to May 19 and 20 due to bad weather. On these two days, it will generally not be possible to drive onto or through Fiedlerstraße. The parking lots of the university and the Science Park in Mombachstraße cannot be accessed on either day
