The answers to these questions are complex. One approach can be to consciously change your perspective: to question your own point of view, to leave familiar ways of thinking behind and to adopt new perspectives.

On June 22, 2026 at Uni:Lokal, we invite all members of the University of Kassel to a joint change of perspective. We will discuss together:

• What is the social role of a university today?
• What characterizes the University of Kassel?
• How do we envision the future of our university?

Impulses from the discussion groups will then be taken up in an improvisational theater piece - we look forward to experiencing together with you what new exciting, humorous and thought-provoking aspects arise from this.

Positioning is a series organized by the Presidential Board for all members of the University of Kassel. We create space for exchange, reflection and new ideas in different formats, with changing groups and at different locations at the university. Each event takes place at a different location, allowing the diversity of our university to be experienced. The resulting impulses are documented, brought together and incorporated into the further development of the university. The series will start in the summer semester 2026 and further dates will be announced soon. We look forward to your participation and sharing ideas with you.
