Simple booking procedure for individual events
The simplest procedure is for the organizer to set up the attendance requirement so that an attendance/deregistration button appears after the course title. Here the department/lecturer takes care of the allocation of places. You can set up a deadline for this version so that the option to register for the course starts and ends automatically. See also Booking courses.
Prioritization of courses that have been combined into a bundle (e.g. language practice for Romance studies / English studies) or a module
The department specifies how many priorities can be assigned in a module / bundle. As a rule, each priority (high, medium, low) can be assigned once. There are exceptions in the core study program and in German studies. The allocation procedure sorts the assignments first in descending order by semester. This gives students from higher semesters an advantage to prevent them from exceeding their study time. Students on a Master's degree course receive a bonus. After that, a 16-digit lottery number and the selected priority are decisive. If possible, the procedure assigns the highest priority (priority 1 = high). If all places in the desired group are already taken, the groups with lower priority are allocated.
The time of booking is not relevant for the allocation of places! Once the allocation of places has been completed, all students who have taken part in the allocation procedure will receive an e-mail to their University of Kassel e-mail address.
See My modules.

First come, first served
In the so-called"first come, first served" procedure, participants are admitted immediately until the event is full. You can then be placed on the waiting list. If an admitted participant cancels, the next person on the waiting list automatically moves up. This is usually used for remaining places or individual events.
