Group mailbox Applemail

Please navigate to the system settings and open the "Internet Accounts" option.

Then click on "Add account" and enter your e-mail address.

Confirm with "Continue".

Now click on "More options" and select "Mail accounts".

First enter your name and the e-mail address of your group mailbox <smx012345@uni-kassel.de> in the corresponding fields.

Then enter your password for your UniAccount and click on "Login".

In the next step, you will be asked to enter your user name. First enter your user name under the domain @uni-kassel.de, followed by a slash and then the mailbox name (not the clear name mail address!), followed by the domain <uk012345@uni-kassel.de/smx012345@uni-kassel.de>.

Enter "mail.uni-kassel.de" in the two fields "Server for incoming / outgoing emails" and then click on "Login"

If the message "Account name/password could not be verified" appears, please click on"Continue".

Select "Mail" and confirm the process by clicking on "Done".

Close the window and go to"Settings" in the Mail app.

Then select "Account".

Enter only your user name with the corresponding domain "@uni-kassel.de" for the outgoing server .

Uncheck "Manage connection settings automatically" and check that the remaining fields match the fields in the image.
