NO CUTS

Dear colleague,

Last year, we achieved a great deal with our protests against the cutback plans: the state budget for universities in 2025 has increased by four percent - a success! But the dispute continues. The state and university administrations are currently negotiating the 2026-2030 Higher Education Pact, which must include adequate funding. At the same time, we are demanding that the agreements on the creation of additional permanent positions for mid-level academic staff and the exclusion of unfounded fixed-term contracts in administrative and technical areas be implemented in a binding manner.

In order to build up the necessary pressure during the negotiations, ver.di and GEW are jointly launching a

photo campaign:
NO CUTS - no cuts in science!

Will you join in? It's very simple:
Take a photo of your hand with open scissors and upload the image to the union's cloud: https://cloud.werkzwei-detmold.de/index.php/s/5go9nxK5LZYGoZ4 - preferably right now!

We will use the submissions to create a large poster throughout Hesse, which we will present to the state government and university management.

This is our way of reminding them: Think of the employees and students! The more people take part, the greater the effect!

Please speak to your colleagues and pass on our call to action!

Together we will fight for good funding, sufficient staff and secure employment.
