femdat.ch was founded in 2001 by all universities and higher education institutions in Switzerland as a “feminist database” for female academics and has since been committed to ensuring that women can contribute their skills to the workplace and society and are visible. The Swiss career network, with its connection to D-A-CH, offers expertise, advice and support through strong cooperation with educational institutions and professional networks. It provides information on further training, current changes and requirements in the job market and offers the basis for mentoring.
In 2006, the database of highly qualified women was expanded to include a job market for specialist career positions.
