In the same year, Faculty 02 - supported by the special fund "Structural Equal Opportunities" - organised the Diversity Week for the first time in the week of 6-10 November 2023, to which all students, academic staff, members of the university, teaching staff and other interested parties were invited. The intent of the events is to make existing equality work visible and to network different specialist perspectives, but also to reflect on the existing need for action. In line with the objectives of the University of Kassel's development plan, this is intended to contribute to the sustainable anchoring of the topic of equality, which should contribute to the desired diversity-oriented and gender-equitable cultural change.
Diversity Week will take place annually in the future.
