Objective

Reducing gender inequality in research and innovation institutions

Brief Description

The Gender Equality Academy (GE Academy) was a comprehensive capacity-building and training initiative funded by the European Union’s ‘Horizon 2020’ programme (2014–2020). Its objective was to promote structural change and to integrate the gender dimension into higher education institutions and research organisations.

The EU-funded GE Academy project has developed and implemented a comprehensive programme for capacity-building in the field of gender equality in research and development and in higher education. The project offers a range of comprehensive training programmes and materials covering science and science management, as well as organisational development, which are available in Europe and beyond. The programme includes various training formats such as webinars, workshops, summer schools and online courses.

Even after the GE Academy’s funding period has ended, its extensive archive of knowledge, training programmes and guidelines will remain publicly accessible for institutional purposes.
