Dear AGES Newcomers,
we welcome you in the master program Agriculture, Ecology, and Societies. We are looking forward to meeting you. An intensive introduction period prior to study start will give you the best possible start into your studies.

Dear students, this material is uploaded in a Moodle folder (AGES Info Board). Here you will find:

  1. Compulsory Module Specific Preparatory Material, in order to be prepared for specific modules
  2. Optional Introductory Reading Material for the AGES-Master Program. As you might have different backgrounds, have a look at disciplines and topics that are new for you.

If you still need the password to access the folder, please contact AGES-Coordination (ages@uni-kassel.de)

In the winter semester 2026/27 the introductory events for your respective degree program will take place between Monday, 12.10.26 and Friday, 16.10.26. Participation in the introductory events is highly recommended. 

The regular courses begin on Monday, October 19, 2026. The course period ends on February 12, 2027.

Lecture-free period over Christmas and New Year: Saturday 19 December 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027 inclusive.

We hope your travel to and settlement in Witzenhausen or Kassel will be smooth – please let us know about any way we may assist during your transition.
The AGES Introductory program will take place between 12th-16th October, 2026.
