Since 2012, the University of Münster has organised an annual event called “More women in science - PhDs are better than studying”. The information event is aimed specifically at women who are at the end of their Bachelor's degree or in the Master's phase and are still unsure whether they want to pursue a doctorate. As part of a series of lectures with a panel discussion and a subsequent stand-up café, in which various representatives of the WWU (including the SAFIR application advice service, Career Service, Graduate Centre, various graduate schools) will be taking part, female students from all faculties will have the opportunity to find out more about the topic of doctorates. The topics covered include doctoral opportunities at the WWU, career prospects with and without a doctorate, funding opportunities, compatibility/work-life balance and the search for supervisors.
