In many places at the University of Münster, whether in the (autonomous) departments of the AStA, in project positions, the Equal Opportunity Committees of the Faculties, directly in the Office for Gender Equality or on their own initiative in their own projects and groups, students campaign against sexism in a variety of ways. They are involved in decisions at the University of Münster as representatives of students' interests with regard to equality, provide advice and support to students who have experienced discrimination on the basis of their gender or sexual orientation and organize feminist events. However, the University of Münster is large: Faculties may handle similar matters very differently; knowledge gained from experience is often lost through generational change. The network meeting is intended to give students the opportunity to get to know each other, to learn more about the work of other student equality actors, to pool knowledge and to create a platform for all those active in this field.
