As part of the ‘Gendering MINT didaktisch-digital’ project (Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education Teaching (Innovation in der Hochschullehre), 2023–2026), teaching support materials and tools have been developed for lecturers and are available free of charge.
The Open Educational Resources (OER) offered on the portal provide insights into the research and teaching area of Gender & STEM. At the same time, they encourage reflection on gender issues in the natural and technical sciences. The OER are designed in such a way that they can be used in university teaching, particularly in the didactics of the natural sciences, but also in the social and cultural sciences. They allow students of natural and engineering sciences to engage with gender issues and link the knowledge and working methods of the natural and technical sciences with those of the social and cultural sciences. For users with a background in the social, cultural and educational sciences, they offer insights into STEM subjects. At the same time, the OER are suitable for self-study for all interested users. The portal covers a total of 8 learning modules, which can be completed in any order.
In addition, the portal offers didactic suggestions, materials and planning aids for working with the content of the learning units, for supporting working methods and for strengthening reflection skills.
