The online-supported communication platform Wissenschaftlerinnen im Netz (WiN) is aimed at all female researchers at the University of Münster, i.e. female students and researchers from all departments and institutions, in order to promote the exchange of information on scientific careers and research. The platform is designed to support female researchers in organising their work and in planning their research, and serves as an exchange platform for those interested in pursuing a doctorate or habilitation with experienced female researchers or interested peers. Furthermore, the platform provides information on funding opportunities for studies, doctorates or habilitations as well as job offers.
As part of the WiN network and the online portal, each researcher can create their own, internally accessible profile and use this profile to provide information about their research areas, projects and department. It is also possible to exchange information via the network by e-mail. The female scientists in the network use WiN to find out about professional associations and further training opportunities in their scientific community. WiN also bundles information on relevant topics from teaching and research for an academic career, such as funding, scholarships, acquiring third-party funding, university didactics, appointment procedures and much more.
