Panel discussion with Max Moor: "Mobility of the future"

Event in cooperation with the Department of Transport Planning and Transport Systems at the University of Kassel.

Ever since the diesel affair, one question has been on the nation's mind: How can we guarantee people's mobility in the future without harming their health? Rethinking vehicle technology alone will not solve this problem.

We must certainly ask ourselves how traffic can be avoided or shifted. For example, by increasing the use of local public transport.

What visions and viable solutions already exist? Max Moor wants to discuss this with his guests.

Max Moor

The presenter, actor and author talks to guests about the mobility of the future for the sixth time. He presents "Kulturzeit" for 3sat and the cultural magazine show "ttt- titel, thesen temperamente" for ARD on Sunday evenings.

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus J. Beckmann
Prof. Beckmann studied civil engineering at the TU Braunschweig. At the University of Karlsruhe, he was Professor for the teaching and research field of municipal infrastructure planning,
then Head of the Institute for Urban Planning and Urban Transport at RWTH Aachen University. From 2006 to 2013, he was Scientific Director and Managing Director of the German Institute of Urban Affairs, and from 2013 to 2016 President and Vice President of the Academy for Spatial Research and Planning ARL. He is currently working on national urban development policy,
sustainable mobility and the mobility and transport transition.

Anja Wenmakers
Anja Wenmakers studied law and has been Managing Director of SWB Bus und Bahn and SWB Mobil since 2017. She has been with Stadtwerke Bonn since 2005 and was responsible for sales, marketing and service planning. She supports the development of sustainable mobility, including as part of the German government's Lead City program
and with the planned conversion of the entire fleet to e-buses.

Jürgen Resch
Jürgen Resch has been Federal Managing Director of Deutsche Umwelthilfe e. V. (DUH) since 1988. He studied administrative sciences at the University of Constance. One of his central
topics is the implementation of an effective clean air policy. DUH has been successfully campaigning for the establishment of effective environmental zones since 2005. Since the official announcement of
illegal emissions manipulation in vehicles in the USA, Jürgen Resch has made a significant contribution to clearing up the scandal in Germany.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralph Pütz
Prof. Pütz teaches commercial vehicle technology, combustion engines and transmission technology at Landshut University of Applied Sciences and is head of the Institute for Applied Commercial Vehicle Research
BELICON. Prof. Pütz has many years of experience as a development engineer in the automotive industry and more than 20 years of experience in public transport vehicle technology. He has been a member of the German government's advisory board since the diesel crisis.
