If you have not received your semester ticket in time , you can take advantage of the travel cost reimbursement.

In Kassel, the central locations are Holländischer Platz, Wilhelmshöher Allee, Heinrich-Plett-Straße (AVZ), Menzelstraße (Kunsthochschule) and Aueparkhalle. There are two locations in Witzenhausen: Steinstraße and Nordbahnhofstraße. Overview of locations

Moodle is a web-based open source learning platform where students and teachers can post, edit, comment on and discuss materials together: Moodle homepage

Every student will have a CampusCard, which can be used as a means of payment at the cash desks of the canteens and cafeterias on Holländischer Platz and Heinrich-Plett-Straße as well as for printing and copying stations on campus. It is also valid as an ID card for the university libraries. Tenants of the student residences are also increasingly using the card as a payment card for washing machines and dryers.

The UniAccount is the central access to the IT services of the University of Kassel. An e-mail account and a personal storage area are linked to the UniAccount. Students need the UniAccount to create timetables or to register for examinations. In addition, the UniAccount is necessary to participate in the university's data network (e.g. via WLAN) or to work at one of the many PC workstations in the ITS computer pools. The General Students' Committee (AStA) is the central governing organization of the entire student body. It represents student interests at a political level and contributes to student life by offering further education, advice and cultural activities. All students are welcome to attend the public part of the meetings in the AStA kitchen.

University elections

Every year, all members of the university elect their representative bodies. Students elect the student parliament, the student members of the University Senate, the student councils and the student representatives on the departmental councils.

The student council consists of students working on a voluntary basis and represents student interests in particular faculty departments. As an elected member of the student council, you can get involved in university committees, help organize introductory courses and learn a lot about the university along the way.
