Thomas Fuchs: Digital animism - Our communication with artificial agents

Thomas Fuchs is Karl Jasper Professor of Philosophical Foundations of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Heidelberg. As a leading representative of phenomenological psychopathology, he has published numerous internationally acclaimed works on embodiment, subjectivity and temporality. With his publication "Verteidigung des Menschen: Basic Questions of an Embodied Anthropology" (2020), Fuchs brings together his many years of research into a critical anthropology that mediates between neuroscience, psychiatry and philosophy. His most recent work is entitled: "Verkörperte Gefühle. On the Phenomenology of Affectivity and Interaffectivity" (2024).
