Golden frame at the Schlagd

The oversized XXL picture frame of the SDG+ Lab makes a stop at the Schlagd. The project deals with the visualization of potentials of different places and planning tasks that have so far hardly been in the public consciousness.

As in other cities, much has already been done in Kassel to make better use of the qualities of the waterfront location for the urban space and for the citizens. However, these potentials have hardly been exploited, especially on the Schlagd, where the city is closer to the water than anywhere else. It is also home to some of the oldest buildings in the city, reminiscent of its original use as a lively trading and transshipment center.

The jazz musician and architectural theorist Christopher Dell will be our guest, taking up the theme with a musical performance to open up a space for thinking about a different urban future at this historic location.
