Lecture by Helma Lutz: Care transformations - not just a topic in gender studies

Lecture by Helma Lutz (Goethe University Frankfurt) as part of the 5th Sociological Symposium

On November 3, the 5th Sociological Symposium will take place at the University of Kassel. Students will present the results of their research projects in lectures and posters and discuss them with fellow students and lecturers. As a highlight, Prof. Dr. Helma Lutz will give a guest lecture on "Care transformations - not just a topic in gender studies". The public lecture will focus on the topic of 'care', which has been discussed by the feminist movement for decades, but has now also found its way into the sustainability debate, the debate on 'work-life balance', masculinity research and the debate on exploitation structures.

The symposium starts at 2 p.m. with a master workshop in seminar room 1217, Arnold-Bode-Straße 10, followed by a guest lecture at 4.15 p.m. in lecture hall 5 of the Campus Center. Finally, the organizers invite you to a poster tour and an informal get-together in the foyer of the Campus Center.
