“ASL à la Carte”: ASL Faculty Tour Presents a Menu for Planning
Image: University of KasselDiversity in Teaching and Research: That is the theme of the tour during the summer semester of 2026. At the intersections of architecture, urban and regional planning, and landscape architecture and landscape planning, student semester projects and seminar outcomes emerge that seek answers to current societal challenges. The quality of individual projects is just as important as the collaborations and the interdisciplinary approach that characterize the Faculty.
In keeping with the theme, student work will be presented in ten thematic “sessions” that take place consecutively throughout the week. These sessions invite visitors to discover connections between the projects and to engage in conversation with students and faculty. The topics range from sustainable neighborhood development, circularity, and material reuse to participation and co-creation, as well as renovation of existing buildings, rural resources, and questions of perception and representation.
In addition to the exhibition, the tour offers a varied supporting program. At the “Long Table” in the foyer of the ASL building, there will be opportunities for meeting and exchanging ideas during coffee breaks, lunch, and dinner. The program is rounded out by a public lecture on Wednesday evening.
The R:34 tour is organized by the departments of Landscape Architecture I: Design (Prof. Ariane Röntz) and Landscape Architecture | Technology (Prof. Florian Otto).
