Lecture Series on Combating Right-Wing Extremism: Digital Space Occupation—Right-Wing Extremist Communication Strategies & Lifestyles on TikTok and Other Platforms

November 30, 2026: Digital Space Occupation—Far-Right Communication Strategies & Lifestyles on TikTok and Other Platforms

The Kassel Lecture Series Against Far-Right Extremism will take place again during the 2026–27 winter semester. In memory of the racist murder of Halit Yozgat, which was committed by the far-right NSU in 2006 not far from the Holländischer Platz campus, annual lectures on varying topics have been held since 2012, aimed equally at students and the broader community. An interdisciplinary team from the departments of Human Sciences, Humanities and Cultural Studies, and Social Sciences organizes the lecture series in collaboration with scholars and practitioners. In the 2026–27 winter semester, the individual lectures will be held under the theme “Young, Dynamic, Far-Right? New and Old Far-Right Youth Cultures.”
