Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (Bachelor)

Planning open spaces, protecting biodiversity, addressing climate change, and developing livable, sustainable landscapes: that's what landscape architecture and landscape planning are all about.

The study program imparts design, planning-conceptual and scientific knowledge. The focus is on study projects in which students learn teamwork, time management and communication skills in addition to design and planning skills. The range of topics extends from gardens and parks as traditional workplaces of landscape architects to public squares and green zones to more ecologically oriented planning tasks in agricultural landscapes and large protected areas such as biosphere reserves or nature parks. With a Bachelor's degree, one can work in private planning offices, but also in specialized authorities, municipal administrations, other public agencies (e.g. large protected area administrations), companies and associations.
