Aspects of gender and diversity are not yet very common in undergraduate teaching. In order to develop a subject-specific perspective, the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Planning held a two-day workshop in 2023.
The first day of the course focused on the importance of gender and diversity in architecture, urban planning and landscape planning projects. Relevant concepts and issues from gender and diversity studies were discussed and linked to the content of the subject area.
On the second day of the course, participants dealt with the question of how gender and diversity can be integrated into the curricula of architecture, urban planning and landscape planning. In addition, various approaches were taught to anchor the gender/diversity dimension in a university curriculum. Following on from this, possible options for the Faculty's degree programs were developed and discussed.
