Guest at the Rektorat #27 with Echo Can Luo


Echo Can Luo is exhibiting under the title "Chocho Studio reshaping the face" on 22.10.19 at 6:30 pm at the Rektorat of the Kunsthochschule Kassel.

More and more young people are using algorithms to determine whether their face is attractive. But what they really want is the perfect body and the perfect face without the help of social media filters to capture the perfect selfie from all angles instantly and without the use of software. Their reasoning for plastic surgery is increasingly becoming an idealized self-image. Chocho Studio uses 3D scanning technologies to reshape the face, with the aim of creating the perfect instagrammable face and thereby achieving a higher beauty score.

Echo Can Luo studied new media at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and her research focuses on algorithm bias of 3D modeling, database and the actions of artificial intelligence. Her work has been shown in various exhibitions in Germany and abroad.

The exhibition is free of charge and open to all interested parties.
