Music for the night - a place to listen

hr2-kultur and the Hessian music scene are once again organizing "A Day for Music" on Sunday, May 17. Under the motto "Hessen in Concert", music of all genres will be presented throughout Hessen. The Institute of Music at the University of Kassel is taking part in the day of action and is deliberately moving "Music for the Night" into the day. Not as a contradiction, but as a sharpening. Band music, piano music and vocal music stand side by side on an equal footing. Short recitals interrupt, scenic intermezzi irritate. "Music for the Night" is not an evening concert. It is a conscious listening situation. Awake. Direct. Enchanting. Without the protection of darkness.

hr2-kultur presents the musical diversity of Hesse with "A Day for Music". This unique ARD-wide project alternates with "A Day for Literature". With numerous events like this, Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) reaches many thousands of people in all regions every year.
