University Statement on THM's Plans

For 25 years (with nearly 1,000 graduates), the university has offered the “Studium im Praxisverbund” (STiP) program, a highly successful initiative for young people who wish to pursue a practice-oriented course of study. The program’s curriculum is shaped by current research relevant to the respective disciplines. Students thus complete a full-fledged university degree, combining it with practical training phases during the semester breaks. Graduates consistently rank among the top in their classes and, after graduation, predominantly hold leadership positions in research, development, and management. For the past two years, the program has been further developed in close cooperation with partner companies; discussions are currently underway with additional companies interested in becoming STiP partners.

The University of Kassel remains committed to supporting young people on their path to becoming highly qualified specialists and executives, thereby strengthening local industry and the economy. This includes, in particular within the STEM fields, significant efforts to foster enthusiasm among high school students.
