"General College Sports" Becomes UNI:Sport

The University of Kassel’s former General University Sports program is now operating under a new name: UNI:Sport. This rebranding is accompanied by a comprehensive modernization effort that, in addition to the name change, includes a new logo, a contemporary visual identity, and updates to the website and social media channels. In the near future, internal administrative procedures and external registration processes will also be further developed, modernized, and simplified, in line with the university’s “Simplify and Streamline” initiative.

With its new website, UNI:Sport aims to make it even easier to access sports and physical activity and to raise awareness of its diverse offerings. The focus is particularly on students and staff at the University of Kassel. The goal is to present itself as modern, approachable, and tailored to its target audience in order to inspire even more students to take part in its wide range of sports activities.

“With UNI:Sport, we want to show that university sports today are more than just a program of classes. It’s about physical activity, community, health, and easy access to sports for everyone,” says the UNI:Sport team. “The new name and modern look help us communicate our offerings more clearly and, in particular, reach students where they are—online, on our website, and on social media.”

UNI:Sport’s sports offerings remain diverse and open to all. From fitness, health, and relaxation activities to traditional sports and trend-based sports, UNI:Sport offers numerous opportunities to integrate physical activity into daily life as a student or working professional.
