INFORMATION ON THE COURSE CATALOG FOR THE CORE CURRICULUM FOR THE WINTER SEMESTER 2026/27
Our team of student advisors offers personalized guidance, for example, on registering for a course or on academic and examination requirements (see the “Contact Persons and Advising” menu item).
You can find detailed information about each course in the individual course announcement.
Please refer to your examination regulations for information on the number of SWS included in individual modules.
For courses within a module that can be freely combined (“modular structure”), you may combine courses as you wish. Each individual course comprises 2 SWS.
For combined offerings within a module, two courses totaling 4 SWS are linked in terms of content, organization, and timing (in one or two consecutive semesters).
Students who wish to secure a spot on the waiting list should contact the instructor directly only after all registration procedures specified for a course in the core curriculum have been completed.
Please refer to the course catalog for the module assignment(s) of a course. If a course is open for enrollment in multiple modules within the core curriculum, students
- in consultation with the instructor
- through the thematic focus of their coursework, and
- through their course registration in the electronic exam management system
which of the available modules they will take.
COURSE REGISTRATION
Registration for and admission to a course do not constitute a student’s registration for the course.
Students must register for coursework separately online via the electronic exam management system by the deadline.
When registering for coursework, students should ideally set the “selected semester” to “All” in order to view all modules and exams. This is because problems with course registration may arise if students select their current semester, which limits their view to only those courses suggested by the sample schedule for that semester.
