The STEM Hub was initiated in 2021 by Prof. Dr. Rita Borromeo Ferri, Prof. Dr. Andreas Meister, and Prof. Dr. David Di Fuccia and was funded by the State of Hesse with nearly one million euros through the end of 2025 as part of the University of Kassel’s profile budget. Following the funding period, the MINT Hub was established as a permanent institution at the University of Kassel. This development reflects the sustainable anchoring of MINT support and the importance the University of Kassel places on connecting science, education, and society.

Today, the MINT Hub thrives on the commitment of its employees and collaboration with its partners. Together, through the MINT formats we have developed, we create spaces for exchange, new ideas, and innovative approaches to further advance STEM education and raise awareness of its importance to society.

MINT to Public

In the MINT to Public area, we address civil society in the region and promote discussions on current research topics. As the University of Kassel, we want to be perceived as a valuable partner in terms of our expertise.

MINT to Companies

Our work in the area of STEM to Companies is based on the further development of established structures and networking opportunities between students from STEM departments and companies as an interface between business and science.

MINT to School

The expansion of existing and the development of new STEM activities at schools are the focus of MINT to School. We are helping to create a stronger supply-use model and to network as the University of Kassel with STEM/STEM centers nationally and internationally.

MINT to Science

With MINT to Science, we are increasing cooperation between the various MINT departments at the University of Kassel through the targeted presentation and bundling of research activities and research projects in the departments.
