Sound-image time: filmmakers and their work

The Film and Moving Image class of the Kunsthochschule Kassel in cooperation with the Filmladen Kassel e.V. present Polyversum Super 8 - short films by women presented by the Berlin author and filmmaker Dagie Brundert. Following the films: Dagie Brundert in conversation with Volko Kamensky and Jan Peters.

"Super 8 is an extremely sexy material: it is warm-colored, has unbeatable gray values and color nuances that can never be achieved digitally. It is partially mysterious, blurred, naturally grainy, not 100% predictable and, if the filmmaker really extends her antennae and throws herself into the wabi-sabi, gets very close to the object, to the action, to the world. We become observers and are right in the middle of it all; flying over fields of flowers, swimming in the pulsating bloodstreams of crazy cities, venturing into distant, unknown worlds, planting, dancing, morphing, bumping, lazing and celebrating the beautiful in the banal, the small in the big, the great in the smallest molecule."
