Animated film show with Thomas Stellmach

After two sold-out events, Stellmach will once again be showing his internationally award-winning animated films and explaining what motivated him to realize his productions. With amusing little stories about the production process of the films, his career as an animation artist and his experiences at the Oscars in Hollywood, Stellmach will guide you through the program in an entertaining way.

Seven of his short films will be shown, including the puppet animation QUEST, for which he won the Oscar in the "Best Animated Short Film 1996" category, and the experimental film VIRTUOS VIRTUELL, which was premiered live with the state orchestra in 2013 to celebrate Kassel's 1100th anniversary. Stellmach will also be showing props (e.g. original animated films from his cartoon UNKRAUT or the QUEST character) as well as photo and video material that provides extensive insight into his film productions. Stellmach will also talk about his animation workshops and give a short preview of his current production, the short film THE SAUSAGE RUN.

Special guest of the event is the artist and illustrator Maja Oschmann, co-director of VIRTUOS VIRTUELL.
